About All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi was set up in 1956 by an Act of Parliament as an Institute of National Importance. It is a public medical university and teaching hospital at Ansari Nagar in south Delhi. AIIMS teaches undergraduate medicine and nursing and runs postgraduate and super-specialty medical courses, alongside a large public hospital. It is ranked No. 1 in the Medical category of India's NIRF 2025 rankings. Foreign nationals mainly join its MD, MS, MDS and M.Ch. courses through the INI-CET entrance test with sponsorship via diplomatic channels.

AIIMS runs two postgraduate sessions a year, January and July, both through INI-CET. For the January 2027 session, registration closes on 13 October 2026 and the exam is on 1 November 2026. Foreign nationals must send the registration slip through their diplomatic channel and get clearance from India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
