About Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST)
DGIST was set up by the Korean government in 2004 as a national science and technology research institute to support the Daegu region. It started graduate programmes in 2011 and its first undergraduate programme in 2014. DGIST focuses on emerging materials, information and communication engineering, robotics, energy systems, brain and cognitive sciences and new biology. It is located in Dalseong-gun, Daegu.
