About Fleming College

Fleming College is an Ontario public college founded in 1967 and named after Sir Sandford Fleming, the engineer behind standard time. Its main Sutherland Campus is in Peterborough; the Frost Campus in Lindsay houses the School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences; and the Haliburton School of Art + Design and Cobourg campus complete the network. Fleming is known for environmental technology, conservation, water and wastewater (CAWT research centre), health and trades. In April 2026 Fleming and St. Lawrence College announced Ontario's first college merger; both say programmes and campuses are not changing for now.
