About Hue University
Hue University was founded in 1957 in the former imperial capital of Hue, central Vietnam. It is a regional public university made up of member universities and schools, including medicine and pharmacy, agriculture and forestry, sciences, education, economics, foreign languages, arts and law. Teaching is mainly in Vietnamese, with some programmes taught in foreign languages, and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy hosts several hundred international students a year. Vietnam has no post-study work visa; graduates who want to stay need an employer-sponsored work permit.
