About Keyano College
Keyano College opened in 1965 as the Alberta Vocational Centre in Fort McMurray and took the Cree name Keyano, meaning 'sharing', in 1975. It is a public college serving the Wood Buffalo region of northern Alberta, with about 2,100 full-time and 4,000 part-time students. Its main Clearwater Campus is in downtown Fort McMurray, and the Suncor Energy Industrial Campus trains for the oil-sands industry. Keyano offers nursing, education, business administration, business aviation, university transfer, trades and social work; some trades and health programmes are closed to international students.

Keyano admits international students for Fall (apply by 1 May) and Winter (apply by 1 September). The whole process takes about six months. Apprenticeships, Health Care Aide, Paramedic, Heavy Equipment and some Power Engineering options are not open to international students.

Undergraduate
Class 12 with programme subjects; BScN needs a 75% average in five matriculation subjects (no mark below 60%) and IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 86. Diplomas 2 years; BScN 4 years.
Postgraduate
Post-diploma certificates (e.g. Software Programming and Testing) need a prior diploma or degree; Keyano does not offer master's degrees.
