About Simon Fraser University
Simon Fraser University (SFU) opened in 1965 on Burnaby Mountain, with campuses in Burnaby, downtown Vancouver and Surrey. About 37,000 students a year study in eight faculties with 364 undergraduate and 149 graduate programmes. SFU is known for computing science, engineering, business (Beedie), communication and its large co-op programme, and it runs on three terms a year. It is ranked #312 in the QS World University Rankings 2027.
