About Van Lang University
Van Lang University (VLU) was founded in 1995 in Ho Chi Minh City and was one of the first private universities in Vietnam; it is named after the ancient Vietnamese kingdom of Van Lang. It has 27 faculties covering business, law, architecture, fine arts, engineering, IT, medicine and pharmacy, plus 10 institutes. Its International Education Institute runs 2+2 and 3+1 degree routes with partners such as Liverpool John Moores University, Newcastle University, Angelo State University, the University of Waikato and Ming Chuan University. The main campus is in Go Vap, with campuses in District 1 and Binh Thanh. Vietnam has no post-study work visa; graduates who want to stay need an employer-sponsored work permit.
